Jossée has been playing clarinet for over sixteen years! She completed a bachelor's degree at Mount Allison University, a master's degree at the University of Western Ontario and an artist diploma at Université de Montréal. Currently, she is working on her doctoral degree at Université de Montréal specializing in the folk music of the northern coast of Colombia! She has also directed and performed in a contemporary music ensemble called Ensemble Atlantica and she currently performs and directs a gyspy-jazz klezmer band called La Canne. She loves to express and create music through the clarinet and is a big believer in improvisation and multi-genre exploration!

About My Course

Being a firm believer in fundamentals she always start her students off with a good base! She likes to then build and tailor the lessons to the needs of each individual student. Once lessons have been established she encourages the creative expressiveness of each student and work on repertoire that is enjoyable and suitable for each individual.

All ages and levels are welcome! Even duo lessons are offered if you would like to learn with a friend and explore duet repertoire. There will also be performance opportunities within the Armonico community and possibly beyond! Classes are offered in English and French!
